REVIEW: Highland Warrior by Monica McCarty | The Good, The Bad and The Unread

And together, they had a daughter later. We also get to see some of what happened to her in the past few years. Scottish Highlands But Patrick vehemently denied being with other women, telling her very clearly he wants only one woman in his life.

Was it supposed to make him feel out of control? Living in the woods, their only recourse for survival is lawlessness and trickery. She was fussing over him and so on, which makes Jamie so very happy.

Want to Read saving…. I can’t put my finger on it either, just feels like there was something missing even though I really enjoyed this. Claimed by the Highlander.

Highland Outlaw

I wouldn’t summarize the plot This is the first book in Monica McCarty’s 2nd trilogy, and for those who have read her first 3 books, the hero of Highland Warrior, Jamie Campbell is not unknown. Note that she dressed and already called her men to arrest him. It sounds over the top but really it was sexy as hell. It was also obvious who had set Duncan up Regardless of how he’s done it, you can’t help admiring Patrick.

I loved finally listening to Duncan’s story. They hinted at his guilt for two books. Patrick’s character is endearing. Patrick, who is now in a very double edged situation, handles it as he can; once defending his clan by killing the Campbell guardsmen. These 2 characters should rightfully be enemies but are so drawn to each other and cannot fight how they feel.

Growing up in California there was always plenty to do outside, but all too often I could be found inside curled up with a book or two or three. It seemed the Lamonts were peeved that the Campbells disowned their mother etc but I do wonder how that had anything to do with Jamie etc and they were showing the same attitude to them as what they showed to their highlannd Brian would stay in Rothesay and be treated.

He and his siblings somehow survived and now working with their cousin Alasdair. In this we finally have Elizabeth Campbell’s story.

IMHO, the heroine in the first novel was nothing compared to this heroine. Want to Read Currently Reading Read.

At times it seemed she was repeating the same info over and over again, just in a slightly different wording. She doesnt want to help I wish there were more of those.

I would have liked to see more interaction btw Duncan and his son once he knew I quickly read through the inventory of the local library and was soon buying bags of romances at garage sales.

Or let me put it this way: Lord, it was sexy!

Her continuous lack of faith in him in my opinion was unnecessary and made it hard to sympathize with her highlandd times. Duncan gets very angry and goes out to cool his heels.

So in this case, they have good reasons for not trusting each other!
